Claire Lukens has always loved playing with words, no doubt thanks to her childhood training regimen of Scrabble and crossword puzzles. As Communications Associate, she works closely with other members of the Lilja team to draft and edit written materials, organize project timelines and manage day-to-day client needs. Claire brings her editing, project management, and visual design experience to the office, as well as her training in sustainability.

Claire recently received her master's degree in sustainable design at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where she focused her work on communicating sustainability with the public to inspire positive behavioral change. Prior to joining Lilja in 2016, Claire worked with various environmental nonprofits and managed product documentation at an energy software company in Minneapolis. She received her bachelor's degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Outside of the office, Claire enjoys spending time at her family's cabin, cooking new dishes, trivia nights at local breweries and playing tennis.
